Your army is three corps, each a cloud of troops spread across the ground. Every node you drag is a corps; send them where you will — massed into a fist, fanned wide, or held in reserve — then give the order. Corps will not pile onto a single spot, so to concentrate is to gather them into a dense mass. Where your troops outnumber theirs on a patch of ground, you take it; where forces merely meet as equals, both sides bleed for nothing.

The Cadet follows one doctrine you can learn to read.
Strength
Equal armies — the contest is decided by skill alone.
Choose the Ground
A Set Piece begins from even, mirrored lines. An Encounter throws both armies onto uneven ground — equal numbers, but scattered, so one side may open better placed than the other.
Even, mirrored lines — a fair and equal start.
